Meet the Team

Marissa Blose

Marissa Blose
Founder & CEO

Marissa Blose is an educator, consultant, and advocate with over a decade of experience supporting teachers and education professionals at every level — from volunteer tutors to K-12 classroom instructors and even college professors. She holds a Master of Education in Trauma-Informed Education and has been a pioneer in the social-emotional learning (SEL) movement, having authored two 30-week SEL curricula used in New York City public schools.

In addition to her work in education, Marissa has spent the last five years as a successful entrepreneur, empowering business owners to share their stories by uncovering their unique voice and turning their experiences into powerful narratives that position them as industry leaders.

Her own personal journey of healing from trauma has deeply informed her approach to supporting others, combining evidence-based strategies with empathy, authenticity, and lived experience. Through her work, she empowers teachers to elevate their practice, prioritize their well-being, and create more joyful, sustainable teaching experiences.

Blazer

Blazer
Chief Officer of Emotional Support

At 15 years old, Blazer is the wise and lovable heart of the team — our unofficial mascot and official Chief Officer of Emotional Support (yes, he was once licensed in the State of California as an Emotional Support Animal). Having spent his entire life in the company of an educator, Blazer brings a seasoned understanding of the power of presence, connection, and well-timed naps.

He specializes in tail wags, warm snuggles, and comic relief — often reminding us that sometimes, the best kind of support comes on four paws. Whether he's snoring loudly on the couch during a virtual meeting or making surprise cameos on Zoom, Blazer brings an unmatched level of emotional intelligence to the team. His superpowers? Unconditional love, endless patience, and the uncanny ability to make people smile — even on their hardest days.

Laron Dowdell, LMSW, MDiv
Social & Emotional Health Consultant

With over seven years of experience in mental health and community-focused work, Laron brings both professional expertise and lived passion to his practice. Holding a Master’s in Social Work and licensed as a Master Social Worker, he is skilled at creating emotionally safe and empowering spaces where individuals can build resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful relationships—core components of social emotional learning. His extensive background allows him to support diverse communities with compassion, cultural humility, and clinical insight.

Whether leading wellness initiatives, facilitating healing-centered workshops, or mentoring youth, Laron thrives at the intersection of empathy, education, and impact. He is deeply committed to the belief that when people are emotionally supported and socially connected, they’re empowered to thrive in every area of life.
